Bio

Stevie Dix (1990, Genk) is a Belgian artist living and working in Suffolk, UK.

 

She participated in the Turps Banana Correspondence course 2016/2017, tutored by artist Phil King. Her artistic practice is focused on painting using different meadia such oil por spray paint as to create gestural and spontaneous paintings.

 

She has recently been part of the L21 x Camper Foundation Artist Residency Program in Spain, prior to her last solo exhibition “The Devil’s in the Details” at L21 Gallery.

 

Other recent solo exhibitions include Désert (Nevven Gallery, Gothenburg, 2018), Stevie Dix (The Journal Gallery’s Tennis Elbow, New York, 2017), Conceived in El Coyote (The Cabin, Los Angeles, 2017) and England I love you but you’re tearing me down (Rod Barton Gallery, London, 2017).

 

She has also been included in group exhibitions at Plus One Gallery (Antwerp, 2018 and 2017), Hannah Barry Gallery (London, 2017), Carlsberg Byens Galleri och Kunstsalon (Copenhagen, 2017) and L21 (Mallorca, 2017).
