THE STORAGE (WTF AM I SEEING)

Following the line of L21 Gallery in the realization of specific projects for art fairs, in this edition of ARCO we are pleased to present “THE STORAGE (WTF am I seeing)”, a project which reflects on the storage as the place where the most diverse visual languages coexist within the space of a gallery, only available to see for the gallery staff. Through the design of the stand, this coexistence is made visible, as well as the work dynamics of a contemporary art gallery’s warehouse. Attached to the storage, the visitor can also find the office and the exhibition space, in which there will be a programme of individual exhibitions curated for each of the five days of the fair.

This project involves a translation of the gallery spaces to the fair stand, as well as of our own programming, consisting of five changing exhibitions on a regular basis. The Storage will offer the fair’s public an opportunity to engage with the working dynamics of the galleries, which are usually behind the white cube.
