Ben Edmunds (nacido en 1994 en Norwich, Reino Unido) vive y trabaja en Londres. Como artista, su práctica abarca la pintura y la escultura, y es el director de Aspirational Equipment Ltd., una empresa de objetos de artista fundada en 2019. Se licenció en pintura en el Wimbledon College of Arts (2016), y obtuvo un máster en pintura en el Royal College of Art (2018), donde recibió el premio Hine de pintura.

Su práctica está profundamente arraigada en su formación como marinero y windsurfista, y su trabajo se centra en el cruce entre estos deportes de aventura, las actividades ligadas a estilo de vida de lujo y la pintura de campos de color. Le interesan las posibilidades de la abstracción como experiencia trascendental, comparándola con la escalada de una montaña o la navegación en aguas abiertas. Cuestiona el supuesto antiutilitarismo de la pintura, proponiendo la obra de arte como una forma de equipamiento.
